Happy Birthday to you, CENIDE!
This year's CENIDE celebration is fully dedicated to its 20th anniversary. But don’t worry, grandpa won’t be dusting off the old slide projector to rave about the good old days. Instead, we’re keeping some of the classics — like a keynote by Robert Schlögl — while also daring to try out fresh ideas. This year, for instance, the winners of the Best Paper Award will show off their exciting research in flash presentations and a World Café. And of course, there’ll be one or two birthday surprises for you as well.
Come by and celebrate with us on November 6, 2025, starting at 14:30 at Haus der Unternehmer in Duisburg.

We have prepared an exciting program. Starting with a short introduction, meeting some old and new friends of CENIDE, we will hand over to Robert Schlögl who will deliver a keynote speech.
After that, we’ll celebrate the six best papers from the CENIDE community over the past year. The awardees will kick things off with a snappy flash presentation before diving a bit deeper in a World Café. From there, it’s a smooth handover to the poster session — where, along with some refreshing drinks, we’ll get to enjoy even more brilliant research from the CENIDE crowd.
To round things off, we’ll recharge with some good food before a short input on career options in industry and beyond. After that, the evening is all about inspiring conversations and winding down in a relaxed atmosphere.
